For many Military and Veteran families, the holidays can be a time of both joy and hardship. They face the same holiday expectations and pressures as all families, but often with additional financial constraints that can make a festive season feel out of reach. The Soldiers’ Angels Adopt-A-Family program gives us a way to lift these families up, sharing in the season's spirit by helping them celebrate in a way they truly deserve.

When you “adopt” a family through this program, you’re giving far more than just gifts or a holiday meal; you’re offering them the support, gratitude, and recognition they deeply deserve. You’re helping them feel valued and creating a holiday season filled with warmth, happiness, and lasting joy.

Why Adopt-A-Family?

Imagine the relief and happiness that comes when a parent knows they’ll be able to make their children’s holiday wishes come true. For Military and Veteran families who may be living on tight budgets, a holiday celebration complete with gifts and a special meal can be difficult to afford. Through Adopt-A-Family, you’re helping make cherished holiday memories for those who have given so much to serve and protect us.

How the Program Works

The Soldiers’ Angels Adopt-A-Family program is designed to make participation easy and impactful. Here’s how you can get involved:

1. Family Registration: Military and Veteran families in need of support register with Soldiers’ Angels and provide documentation verifying their service and financial status. Register here.

2. Matching Families with Adopters: Once approved, families are available for adoption by individuals, businesses, or organizations. Each adopter receives details about their adopted family, including wish lists for the children and contact information to make coordination easy.

3. Provide Gifts and a Grocery Gift Card: Adopters are asked to purchase gifts for each child (a minimum value of $50 per child) and a grocery gift card ($75 to $125) to help the family create a holiday meal.

4. Coordinate for Delivery: Adopters work directly with their adopted family to arrange delivery, ensuring gifts arrive by December 25th.

• To ensure items reach families by Christmas, please note the following deadlines:

  • U.S. shipping address: Ship by December 15, 2024

  • APO/FPO/DPO (overseas military address): Ship by December 7, 2024
